Glossary

Everyday it seems that we talk to folks who are struggling with all the lingo out there, regarding electrical systems.  So here's our homegrown glossary of terms we come across on a regular basis.  This list will live and breathe, with us, as we grow and help our customers.  So, check back once in a while.

AC - aka Alternating Current, Household Power, etc.  This is the type of electricity that's used "on the grid" and is found in homes and buildings across the world.

DC - aka Direct Current, 12V, 24V, etc. This is a form of electricity that is used in "off the grid" systems, found in cars, boats, airplanes, etc.  These systems are typically powered by a battery and work in a closed loop for the power transmission.

Circuit Protection - aka Fuses, Circuit Breakers, etc.
